The thing is, if you broadcast like that, how do you get the
conversation back to you? Now I see 3 notices from you, but where
to respond, and will you see it?
Indeed, ping.fm could make it easy for putting out your message,
conversation will be dispersed. Is that really a bad thing, though?
Doesn't every different service have its own dynamic and therefore
different responses? And doesn't anyone have its own preference in
tool to respond? As long as you're notified of the responses
yourself, at least you won't be missing out on the
conversation.
How do responses get back to you through ping.fm, Euan?
They don't and I agree that to some extent I want to keep the
services distinct. However it is thanks to ping.fm that I have been
more active in Jaiku than I have been for months!
OK, so not receiving responses through the same service makes
keeping track of everything for the sender of messages problematic
as well. A hassle for both sender and receiver.
I find it very difficult keeping track of three seperate spaces
(e.g. Pownce, Jaiku and Twitter). That's why I focussed on one,
Jaiku, since it has the mobile client as well. I can see that
Friendfeed and ping.fm can make a good combination, but wouldn't it
be way easier if keeping track of responses to you in the different
services come through the same interface as your updates? Basically
the thing Peter is still dreaming off? http://elmine.jaiku.com/presence/3900617...

I'd been thinking that. I want summize to cover the various outlets so I can see responses

Not sure I follow you. It is much easier for the sender and I can keep track in the various spaces if i want to or through Friendfeed.

@Euan How can one use Summize to aggregate answers? It seems to only search in public messages. Mine are not public in any presence-tool.
